EVANSVILLE, Ind.—The University of Southern Indiana women’s basketball team announced that it will have an NCAA II Tournament Selection Show gathering in the USI Varsity Club Room on the second floor of the Physical Activities Center Sunday beginning at 7:30 p.m.
Pairings for the NCAA II Tournament will be announced on www.ncaa.com at 8 p.m. All fans, friends, family, and members of the USI community are invited to join the Screaming Eagles as they await their NCAA II Tournament fate.
USI (22-8) is ranked sixth in the final NCAA II Midwest Region Poll, which was released Wednesday afternoon. The Eagles trailed The University of Findlay for fifth, while Northern Michigan University and Northern Kentucky University were seventh and eighth, respectively.
Michigan Tech University held down the top spot, while the University of Indianapolis, the University of Wisconsin-Parkside, and Drury University rounded out the top four teams. The NCAA II Midwest Region Tournament field will be comprised of the top eight teams.
The semifinals and championships for both the GLVC and GLIAC Tournament take place this weekend and can play a factor in determining the NCAA II Midwest Region Tournament field and seeding.
